No. Everything — dictation, transcription, and the AI Brain — runs 100% on-device on Apple Silicon. Audio never leaves your Mac, transcripts are stored locally, and the app works fully offline. No account is required to use it.

Free is genuinely useful forever: live dictation up to 1,500 words a week, 30 minutes of file transcription a month, the lightweight Quill model, two mode slots and two snippets. Pro removes the caps — unlimited dictation and file transcription, every AI model (Quill, Folio, Atlas), up to six mode slots with custom prompts, and unlimited snippets.

Pro is €4.99 / month or €49.99 / year — the yearly plan is roughly €4.17 a month, so you get about two months free. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, which means taxes and VAT are included and localized automatically. Prices may vary slightly by region.

Yes. There’s no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then drop back to the Free tier automatically. No card is needed to use Free.

A Pro license covers one device at a time, and it’s movable — deactivate on one Mac and activate on another whenever you switch machines. No re-purchase required.

They’re on the roadmap. Cloud models will arrive on Pro with a usage cap or a bring-your-own-key option. Until then, every model runs locally — and the cloud row stays a quiet teaser, not a paywall.
